Re: SMACK the Smiley MATCH SPRING 09 - ENTRY OPEN!

I didn't get out to shoot mine in time, but I did send my prizes out on time.

I had all intentions of shooting them right when I got them, of course something always comes up, either work or weather.

Scott, I hear you.
I envision myself spending 4 afternnons shooting the match, and ALWAYS end up rushing through it on the LAST day. Oh well.

Re: SMACK the Smiley MATCH SPRING 09 - RESULTS!

OH HOLY CRAP!! All I can say is... I had no idea what the score was gonna be... and I did have my witness!!

Hey gang, I just want to say as well, this was my wife's first time behind anything bigger than a .223... I think she did pretty dang good with the Savage.

The .8" group and target was shot, scored pretty dang good, and she was upset about it... LOL!! I love her and my Savage.

JR81452... it is nice to see the Savage's sittin up on the high ground!! Good shootin Brother!!

JB, thanks so much for everything you do... You are the Man!!

I haven't shot in a couple of years. The bar got a bit higher since then.
Z definatly has a hot stick and the skills to match.

Re: SMACK the Smiley MATCH SPRING 09 - RESULTS!

wow, guess i'm going to have to step up my driving if i'm going to see 1st place again. i thought i had it for sure. great shooting everybody.
thanks again JB for another enjoyable competition for a great cause. many thanks to the sponsors, you guys are the best.

Re: SMACK the Smiley MATCH SPRING 09 - RESULTS!

I will tell you, I was thrilled back a couple years ago when I got 6th while shooting my FN-SPR... this Savage I have now practically shoots by itself. Even my wife rips some nice targets with it.

As far as my skills go, I found out during the One Day Sniper Fieldcraft that shooting unsupported, my skills definately need some major tuning... disappointing to say the least. So all the guys that actually do this stuff for a living, my hats off to all of you for sure!!

I am honored to be shooting alongside you guys. Thanks for allowing me and my family to participate with you, doing something we all love!! You guys are the best...

Re: SMACK the Smiley MATCH SPRING 09 - RESULTS!

what great news!!! i had my fingers crossed that i would score well. the cosmic tumblers fell into place for me and i had a great day to shoot. i'm super tickled.

thanks Jason for the hard work. since building a 22 trainer i'm enjoying that type of shooting as much if not more than centerfire. i highly encourage it for folks to train... it has helped me kick a couple bad habits in just months...

again,

thanks to all for participating and to Jason for making it possible.

Re: SMACK the Smiley MATCH SPRING 09 - RESULTS!

Holy freakin crap!

Are you sure that wasn't not just a one shot group?
wink.gif

That is some good shootin rat.

Thanks JB, this is really cool. Great cause and a lot of fun. I will definitely be in on the Summer Match.

I hope to shoot much better than I did this go around, but honestly, I don't think any has to worry with targets like that!

Re: SMACK the Smiley SPRING 09 - RESULTS POSTED

Yes indeed, thanks a million!

PS - JB, I just noticed you have the results from my .308 in the rimfire category. I didn't shoot rimfire this time, but you can bet I will on the next go around. Thanks again!

Re: SMACK the Smiley SPRING 09 - RESULTS POSTED

Bruce, you're right...man, I must have been tired when I was putting that on! Stuck it in the wrong tab within my excel sheet!

LOL, that's NEVER happened to me, I don't see how it could.

Actually, I doubt there's a way to screw up a spreadsheet that I haven't tried out yet.

Thanks Brother!! I am positive that it wasn't a one holer. I am about as tickled with it as I can be!! We went out and shot some paper last weekend. My wife wanted to shoot the Savage to get "more used to it". She is in love with the Savage as much as I am, and is now wanting one for herself in .243 so she can go hunting with me!! I love this stuff!!
