Soft case inside hard case

Yes I tried the search feature first! Ok now that's out of the way. I've done this in the past with large storm/ Pelican case and Eagle hybrid cases with great results. Between cutting a barrel down and having a few more shorter rifles I want to do this set up with a 42 in case. I have a few 42in pelicans but all the 42in soft cases are a little too long to fit inside. Are you guys putting the 42in soft cases in the 1750s (50 in) cases or is their a brand that will work in my 42?

I just got mine set up a few weeks ago. It's a Larue Tactical MOAB soft case inside a Storm (Pelican) IM3200. It's awesome. Unfortunately I bought the MOAB thinking I could put it in my Pelican 1720, but it didn't fit by a couple inches, so I bought the IM3200 later, so it was more expensive than the combo on the Larue website.
