I am looking for a cheap or free starting point for designing a pistol holster. Looking for suggestions on where to start. Once I have a final design, I'd like to have a file that could be sent to a manufacturer to have it made.

We're doing some attempts here with a sheet or two of leather, and so-far, it's been recommended to us to simply 'trace' and work the material to fit.

Now, what you're doing is definitely more involved, thereby making the concept 'interestinger'.
