Finally got to take some quality pics of my LRp. Oh and its little brother showed up this week too:)

Think im going to either put a 1-4 NXS or a VX-6 fire dot on the SCR. Any way for the time being enjoy.

Those rifles are terrible. Don't know why anyone would post pictures of JP rifles - I mean, if they had decent machining and their fit and finish was better MAYBE. But the way they are??? ;-)

So, you have to fill me in, 800.

What's up with the dust cover 100.00 upgrade? Is it because they have to machine a whole other area for it?

I don't see any of the heat dissipators on your rigs, do you have any experience with them? My buddy runs a few JP's and they use them in 3 gun matches. He said the heat dissipator is a must for continued rapid fire strings.

Lastly, any experience with the silent capture spring? Do you know if the rifle shoots any better, or is there just less noise coming from the buttstock?

I keep hearing these are the absolute smoothest gas guns available. My decision was between this and a GAP 10. Trust me, I'd love nothing more than to have a GAP in the arsenal, but I have the patience of a five year-old ADHD kid sans amphetamine salts.

JP quoted 12 weeks, I figured I would get it, and shoot it. If I like it, order a GAP. I am fairly new to gas guns. I have several AR-15's and I owned the DPMS SASS, but as soon as I purchased those rifles, I fell in love with bolt guns. In the safe the gas guns have sat ever since!

The upgrade is infact to a militay upper. You get a dust cover as well as a forward assist. The extra parts plus assembly time is where the 100 comes from. I dont believe they make just the upper with dust cover now from the conversation I had with be the other day. However I could be wrong and you would be correct that they would have additional machineing and assembly work to do.

My SCR has the Heat dissapator on it.Its just black. To be completely honest. The LRP is 2 weeks old, and the SCR showed up on Wednesday. I havent had a chance to shoot either. I can deffinately see where the dissapator comes into play for heavy strings. There is not much seperating your hands from the barrel and the handguard and the handguard is relatively small in diameter, and pure aluminum with some texture to it.

No experience with the captured spring. They are on the list to buy for each of my rifles.

Jesus.....are you kidding me?

Those are some sweet pieces of gear my friend......JP's rifles are works of art.

I just got a JP-LRP07 myself in 6.5 Creedmoor and it is hands down the nicest AR style rifle I have ever owned. Just waiting on reloading components to get out and shoot it.

Congrats.

Congrats.

I actually called the dealer whom I ordered the rifle from and told him, "I think I want to change it to 6.5CM," but then, I bitched out. Just keeping it .260 because my bolt gun is also .260. I was thinking that it would be nice to be able to go to the store and buy great ammo off the shelf, but I load so much, it doesn't even matter that much.

Those rifles are sick!

Here is a pic of my new CTR-02. Still trying to decide what to do about optics.

The silent captured springs are really nice-- I have them in both my SCR-11s and ordered one with my LRP07.

The first shot from the SCR-11 I thought the rifle didn't cycle based on recoil/action sound/action feel compared to my other AR's. It felt like I left the gas block closed or maybe it short stroked.

I pulled the charging handle back and it ejected a live round-- pleasant surprise. The LMOS carrier and the silent captured spring work amazingly well when the gas block is adjusted properly, you don't hear a thing from the stock/buffer tube and the rifle hardly moves at all.

My LRP-07 in 260 (ordered late march) was picked up on Wednesday from my FFL...Now just waiting on the ammo to put a few rounds down range. All I can say is it is the nicest black rifle I have laid my hands on.

damn, you 800!

Stop it already! You know it's bad when you're lusting after a damn rifle ;)

Is that the 2.5-10 NF on top of your rifle, and is your rifle .308?

Mine is finally en route to my dealer, should be Monday or Tuesday of next week. I thought I was all ready to go, but I just read in another JP post that I'll need a small base .260 die because the SAAMI spec'ed FL die will not shrink the case enough in some instances (I ordered a .260). Any info on that?

Mine is a 308 and yep thats a NF 2.5-10x32 mil/mil. As for the die, honestly call or send ben an email@jp. He will be the best to tell you quickly.

Not a JP rifle, but a JP Rapid config handguard.

Seekins upper & lower. 7.62x40 WT
