Actually shot a rifle.....

Planning on shooting 900 meters with this capped turret Leupold on Tuesday. Checked my zero with 175 FGMM than ran a tall test holding the first 5 mils at 9X than dialed down to 4X to double the reticle mils.

So for shots 1-5 I held the orange paster at the bottom of the target checking through 5 mils.

Than I dialeed to 4X and fired 5 more using either half or full holds to get from 6 to 10 mils.

Top of Target....

Middle....

Bottom with aiming point - 2 shots both right of aim point

Ill need 11 to 12 mils to get out to 900 meters. Targets are welll bigger than MOA. Hoping the duplex part of the reticle doesnt completely cover the target - I should be able to get some hits.

Okay go back to hoarding toilet paper, sorry to interrupt.

Can you send me your targets when you're done with them. Since I didn't hoard tp, I'll need them to wipe my butt with. I'm really upset about this oversight on my part.

Good on you. I shot this morning as well. Didn’t take any pictures as it was my usual 4-6 rounds. Good luck and let us know how it went.

Predictions are for some rain on Tuesday.

I don't know if the bigger challenge will be shooting silhouettes or will I be able to get over the mental stress of bringing a wood rifle out in the weather.

Don't stress about the weather... at least you CAN get out and shoot. Me not so much, but I do need to dust of the tree-oh-hate when things change.

shot yesterday not today , but saturday and sunday I will shoot again got my fingers crossed that monday will be nice but the rain is ok as well . have to try again to get the darn side shot camra thing to work so far no luck knew I should have just bought the caldwell shot cam .

Yeah, you did mention 168gr for the 06. Got my 168gr GMM order in today, took a week but wasnt in a hurry as it was just to supplement the existing stash.

Probably will head to range next week when weather clears. Last time I stretched the 06 out to 1350yd (24in steel) after putting 5 in a row on 800 (20in steel).

Took me 4 shots to tag the 1350yd but felt good to get the PB.
