The Embedded Front Rail (EFR) that we've all come to rely on is a great piece of gear. We've used a lot of them here and will continue to do so.
I've been asked a lot if I could put an EFR into a Manners MCS-T or a McMillan A1, but as most already know, there's not enough meat in the forend to house the EFR. So I designed the SPECTER Night Vision Mount. This mount was primarily designed for our SPECTER-BABR Rifle Package and the MCS-T stock, but it easily adapts to the slightly thicker McMillan A1.
I posted a SLS prototype of this mount here about a year ago and after a slight design change, the mount is now in full production. Installation is pretty straight forward, but can't be accomplished without a Mill and the proper tooling. There are two back-plates fit to the inside of the stock and each back-plate has two 10-32 holes (with Helicoils) to mount the side rails. Once the side rails are properly located, the top rail is mounted between them. The mount is rock solid.
The SPECTER NV Mount is made from 6061-T6 and meets MilStd 1913.
The first 50 will be completed in roughly two weeks.
