Is there a Link or something out there ? to look @ . On formal Manufactures Guideline . or SAAMI Spec . guideline ??? or something

    What - who ? . exactly is the formal line that separates and makes . ( Standard Vel. ) - ( +P ) -&- ( +P+ ) . classification separation of manufactures Labeled Pistol Ammo ?

    What Makes ? . ( for rough example ) . 9mm ammo ( 115 grn.) bullet weight .
    ' Less than ' the 1100 FPS Vel. . considered Std. Vel . ?
    More than 1100 FPS , +P .
    1200 or more FPS vel. . +P+

    .....thanks
    .

It has more to do with pressure.

Most velocities are measured from a 4" barrel but the +p and +p+ rating is designed to prevent use in early firearms of the same caliber.
