Hey all,
For various reasons I'm kind of looking around for steel silhouette targets with a small aperature/flasher setup for training... basically a body big enough to be able to range off of (using either scope or electronics) and catch any 'near miss' shots so the shooter has *some* idea where they hit (rather than just 'off in the grass somewhere'), but with a center vital zone that is small enough to be challenging and give a distinct visual cue when hit i.e. a flag (flasher) that pops out when the center paddle is hit.
I've used some full-sized IPSC silhouettes from MGM with 8" center paddles, and I see on their web site that LV Steel Targets has a couple different options, including a smaller (50%?) IPSC silhouette with a really little flapper right in the middle. Are there any other manufacturers I should be looking at for this kind of setup?
A while back someone local made me something like the little silhouette from LV Steel... turned out the flapper didn't work quite right - literally *any* hit on the silhouette was enough force to make the flag pop out, so I guess it needs a spring of some sort to hold it close except when directly hit?
TIA,
Monte
