Hello all,
I have one of the Steiner 5x25x56 with MLR reticle and my question is this- When I use the illumination I can quite obviously see that the red illuminated crosshairs in the center don't match up with the regular crosshairs. As I move my eye around the eyebox the red crosshairs appear to move in relation to the regular crosshairs. Is this a normal phenomenom with FFP scopes? Would a S&B do the same thing?

My only other illuminated scopes are SFP and they don't seem to have this apparent disparity between the illuminated hairs and the black ones-everything always lines up perfectly to my eye...
Thanks

I have the same scope, same reticle. I also see what you are describing at high magnification, however in my case it's very slight. Try refocussing your eyepiece. I noticed with mine that this phenomenom is much more noticeable if the eyepiece is not well focussed.
