I am considering one of these as a light weight hunting rifle with long range capability. I understand that the action is a 700 profile or nearly so. I have read though of some different stock fit problems. Does anyone know if the short action 6.5 Creedmoor or PRC would fit into a more conventional hunting stock like the Manners MCS EH5 or MCS EH6 or McMillan Hunters Edge? Sorry if it's an obvious question but I'm very new to higher end rifles and custom stocks.
I think that the original stock is designed for prone shooting and may be great but I'm not sure I would like the thick grip area.
