So I have a Remington 700 SPS Tac coming in for a budget build. At this point the rifle is going to be a hunting focused rifle. However I'd like to swap out the stock first thing. I'll be doing a trigger upgrade down the road, but right now the focus is the stock.
EGW 20moa base, ARC for rings, Vortex for optics.
For stocks I've come to two opposing options:
KRG Bravo or Stocky's VG2 with M5 inlet.
I like the adjustability of the Bravo as I won't be the only person on the rifle and it has been reviewed highly.
I like the weight aspects of the VG2, and would like to install a Loggerhead (I know the STS model exists but the VG2 is available for a comparable price to the Bravo and enjoy doing as much of my own work as possible.)
I just haven't seen many reviews of the VG2, although the ones I have seen are good.
Any input on either of the stocks mentioned?
And for the record I have a good time behind a manners, McMillan, HS, and AI chassis but those are not options.
Any input regarding the list options would be much appreciated.
