I have a Vudoo that I mainly use for 22 ELR competitions. We shoot at 300 x 300mm (almost 12" x 12") plates at 175m - 425m (191y - 465y). I have ordered a Shilen fast twist (1:12") barrel but don't expect it to outshoot my current Bartlein barrel.

I normally shoot 10 shot groups at 400m (437y) for practice. My rifle constantly shoot 2.2 - 2.4 moa groups at this distance in fair conditions and was convinced it can shoot sub 2 moa in ideal conditions. This was my first attempt early (just after sunrise) Saturday morning in ideal conditions.

I'd be pretty pleased with a group like that out of my Vudoo Three-60/Krieger from that distance. Well done!

If your ammo holds 30 FPS ES it would be an amazing lot of ammo. If you have no holding error and zero conditions (both impossible) you would at best shoot over 11” of vertical. Anything better would be a random act of accuracy over a short string.

When environmental factors, human error, rifle and ammo imperfections are factored in it is impossible to get 2 MOA over a long string at 400 meters I think.

@justin amateur how did I do? 😁

Data for that specific group:
ES - 20f/sec
SD - 5f/sec
AV - 1151f/sec
Shot with a 22" non threaded barrel and no tuner.

I agree that conditions play a big part when shooting 22LR past 200y. At our September 22 ELR match I managed to shoot a full score early morning when conditions were good on Range 2 - competitors are divided into 3 groups and each group start on a specific range and rotate when complete. That is:
- 5/5 hits at 188m (206y)
- 5/5 hits at 346m (378y)
- 5/5 hits at 393m (430y)
All at 30cm x 30cm (12" x 12") gongs without any sighters - see attached results.

However after conditions steadily deteriorated I only managed 2/5 hits at 424m (464y) on Range 3 and later the afternoon only 1/5 hits also at 424m (464y) on Range 1.

Had another go at the same distance (437y) past weekend.
The ES for the 5 shot group was 8 f/sec:
- 1144 f/sec
- 1152 f/sec
- 1145 f/sec
- 1152 f/sec
- 1152 f/sec

All shot with the same lot RWS 100
