Gunsmithing Subsonic barrel

Getting ready to cut the barrel on one of my 308 Savages to use with my HVT and subsonic ammo. Anybody have an opinion on barrel lenght that works best? Or just use my 24" barrel that is already threaded.

Use it like it is. If it dont shoot well cut it down.....

you can get away using faster powder in a shorter barrel. Faster powders,less charge,less noise,Smaller can,faster handling.
