If this had been answered before please steer me in the right direction as my search was fruitless.

I have cast and shot my bullets well over half my life, rifle, and handguns. I would like an informed answer as to whether it is advisable to shoot a cast bullet through a suppressor without danger of lead build up. In my view it doesn't seem 10 or so grains of trailboss would build a big enough fire behind the bullet to vaporize the base and leave it to condense in the can. I have read that a gas check will come off in the can. I have recovered numerous bullets with copper gc's still secure. Many shooters it seems are shooting cast to their upper limits. I am concerned with subsonic only, and with the probability lead build up in the can. Thanks! Tour views are appreciated.

Lead builds up, just like in the 22lr cans. Powdercoat your cast bullets and you will be much better off. Not as clean as jacketed, but clean enough to use them imho.
