I occasionally shoot tactical rifle matches (AICS mags) and am trying like hell to find a 3-gun shoot within 5 hours of Savannah. Would something like this fit the bill to carry spare AR mags?

http://www.atstacticalgear.com/cgi/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=ST-3192

I've got a paddle holster for my handgun and a couple paddle style magazine pouches for it. I've also got a Molle belt with pouches for AICS mags, so this would be primarily for AR-15 matches. If it works well with AICS mags (in the side pouches), all the better.

Seems like a hell of a deal at $45.

Sorry for the rookie question, I just have no idea what I'm looking for.

Several of my buddies have that ATS rig. It's a well made, simple chestrig. Consider adding a 3 mag shingle over the existing three and you'll have plenty of ammo. The two side pouches I believe will just fit a Nalgene bottle. Their Low Profile Medical Insert is a nice way to pack a minimal IFAK also. At $45 for ACU or Multi-Cam (w/ coyote webbing), that is a steal.

For all your 3gun needs check out http://www.brianenos.com/forums/ I don't thing any top shooters use a chest rig. But if you must, buy once cry once. get a modular rig with MOLLE so you can tailor it to your needs.
I've used the the Eagle Ind. SR-25 double mag pouch for AICS mags. The LA mags fit two bullets down, and the SA 10rd mags fit two butt up. They also double as your SR-25 mag pouches when running a gas gun.
