Having been shooting suppressed weapons for a while now I was wondering if a CF suppressed rifle would be hearing safe indoors. I decided to find out. Shot a .243 running 105 Amax @ 3100 fps from across the room to my steel at 150 yds. from the window. I gave it a go using hearing protection for the first shot as I was unsure. Here is the video of the second shot which was hearing safe. You can hear the round smack the steel. Muzzle blast was much less than I expected. Watch the stack of paper in front of the rifle.

we shoot 308's and a 243 wssm suppressed indoors quite often, sounds a bit louder but we didn't need hearing protection. we used the shadow XL TI on one 308, a HVT on another, and a YHM PHANTOM QD on the wssm.

I'd love to have one of those for my 243 for busting whistle pigs. It would be great to get a follow up shot if needed for once. It would also be nice not to have to wear ear pro while hunting. I like being able to hear right before I break a shot.
