Is the tenon length on a Surgeon WSM longer than say a defiance action?

The tenon length on a WSM action is the same length as it is on a standard 591 action. They are about .950" long.

Do you know off the top of your head what a stock REM, Defiance is? I thought i read somewhere that the Surgeon had a little longer tenon length?

The Surgeon will have a few more threads than a 700 but the actual tenon length will be about the same as a 700 with a 1/4" thick recoil lug.

I don't know anything about a Defiance except there are options on tenon lengths.
