T3X CTR Mag release issue?

I seem to recall there was a thread on the old Scout site about the T3X CTR having issues with dumping the mag on recoil. Something about a missing part that used to reside on the T3 CTR, but wasn't (for whatever reason) on the T3X version. Can someone remind me what that was? I got a buddy who is having the same problem...

My buddy and dad run CTR T3x's, and they had that happen. Stick a flat screwdriver in the square slot on the back of the mag and pry the top side of that slot out a bit, and the mags lock over the release tighter. I don't know the thread you're talking about, but this seemed to fix it. Maybe someone else has better info..

The thread on the Scout site recommended the exact same fix with the screwdriver that kabar mentioned above.
