The picture is very interesting, it seems as though they are doing some sort of marksmanship training, but everyone has rifles except for the guy with an RPG!

Reading is way harder than shooting... if these dudes can't shoot, don't think they are literate. An ustadz or imam could literally stand up holding a piece of paper and say, "This says American soldiers are all war-demons from Mars." And after they asked what Mars is, they'd believe the dude.

What impresses me about the article is that the reporter actually tried to get in the weeds about various weapons systems and realities on the ground. That's rare, and I applaud it. Granted, he isn't reporting anything US troops don't already know, just illuminating data to the public at large. I think it's good for the hippies to actually realize there's a science to warfighting.

As an aside, I love that zombie video, Chiller.

so i'll tread lightly

but considering i've walked that same ground...i'll add this

while many of the local taliban might not be worth crap on a technical perspective...they are motivated

never under estimate a motivated idiot

also many of the foriegn fighters...those out of the former yugo area and chechens in particular are actually effective in small numbers and as snipers

i have two dead friends from chechen sniper fire

never underestimate your enemy...and articles like this give one a false sense of security...but considering where it came from...

Sometimes Brother I think you are dead on on your assessment of the NYT and the Communist News Network. The articles are FOR the Taliban, not for the US.

i was trying to stay away from a potentially political first post with my assessment of the NYT

but for them not for us is probably the most accurate statement of our media... i have a story about A-stan and Time magazine that epitomizes that crap

as for the yugos and chechens

the bad guys hire out for talent like we do...now AL-Q doesnt pay like BW or TC does ... but they pay enough to draw chechens away from killing russians in their homeland

now my buddies who got killed by the snipers ...they got one right then and there... not the other...the one that got away i guess got hooked up later ...but no way to prove it was him other than the high spec of the weapon used...but many of these bad guys bring their own stuff

and its not some stamped chicom ak POS
