Tried installing my new Talley 20 MOA rail on the TRG today. Tried using the suplied 6/32 Torex screws and no love. In looking at the old screws I realized that there is a .030 hundredths taper going up the length of the bearing surface. Crazy? So does this mean that the mount holes in the action has the same taper, I would guess?
So bottom line looks like the 6/32 supplied screws will not work.
Question is, do I have an older action? Anyone using the Talley rails on their Sakos? Similar experiences. Any advice appreciated. Would like to figure out how to get this rail working.
