Thanks-they were very quick when I sent it back for the illumination not working. A $4000+ scope shouldn’t have a piece floating inside but I was still drilling head shots on steel at 500yds with it at the bottom of the reticle. A catastrophic failure no but an inconvenience for sure. That’s why we have many tactical/long range guns and optics!!

Same thing happened to me when my 5-25 ATACR F1's parallax/focus shit the bed in the first 50 rounds of use. NF told me I didn't know how to focus a scope... despite me saying that it lost focus from one shot to the next and then wouldn't refocus... Sent it in and they "adjusted parallax" and sent it back to me still fucked up.
That was just the scope trying to eject the T3 reticle to put something worthwhile in it instead.

That one actually had your beloved Mil-C reticle homeslice. I think the scope was trying to puke it out because it didn't get a T3. LOL
No big deal. Had the same thing happen to my first TT a few years ago. They overnighted me a brand new scope. Later, the owner of TT called me to discuss. The problem was the supplier of adhesive they used at the time. They've since switched to a new supplier and it's all good. Call TT and have them check your serial number. I'm sure they'll take care of you.
So there are probably a lot more scopes compromised with this same fault??
If they really expected their users to carry it overseas and depend on it they would call back the lot with bad glue.
So far I have not heard of a single broken scope made by Quigley, just saying..
Already shipped the scope back to Canada the next day and requested a new scope. I’m sure they will make it right. I did send them a pic of my box with the serial number when I emailed them. Perhaps that same run as yours? My serial number is 00400. Remember your serial number?

Difference I glue failing all the time and failing very few times. One needs a recall and the other doesn’t.
TT standards are so high, they probably shitcanned the glue supplier for something many other manufacturers wouldn’t.
Here I am digging my own grave.. But..
We do not know how much they fail and how large the batch was.
But assuming we have few TT owners here in the community and not everybody announces a breakdown.. There must a couple of them. But it is all too hard math for me.
Let me ask it this way:
Would you knowingly buy one of those scopes with the bad gluing when going to the backhills of some shithole country?
I have no quarrel in this and marketing is always what it is. Just fun to run across these once in a while.
How do you know some other brand scope won’t fail? They all fail. They are machines assembled by humans.
Yet my IOR works fine despite flying out of a jeep on a caliche road lol. FWIW my Minox had issues too. Reputations are generalizations. Your gear still needs to be tested
Knowing TT’s reputation, if they were confident enough not to order a recall.....yep....I’d roll with it at work all day long.
Anyway even 5-6 failed scopes among thousands built - it’s a great result in their quality level.
My first Nightforce ATACR F1 5-25x56 I received defective, a brand new. A substance like a gel leaked out the weld at the 56th tube. The dealer replaced it without any questions. This is the key, how CS works with issues, as other gentlemen said above.
It's not a big deal. No scope company is immune to a few problems here or there. Nightforce, S&B, Vortex, TT, Minox, whatever... it's about how the company handles it. Would I knowingly buy another TT? Absofuckinglutely. In fact, after my first one had a problem and TT took care of it (over night), I bought a second one for my other rifle. That's how good the scopes are and that's how good the company's customer service is.
Not yet. Tangent said that since they would have to disassemble the scope for the repair that they would build me a new Gen3XR using my tube and serial number. Going to take 2-4 weeks so I should have it soon I hope!! Will update when I get it.
None of my three IORs have never failed or broke. one 3.5-18 thats around 10 years old sitting on a custom 308 (the same recoil for 10 years that broke said TT after a year or so), a 12-52 Terminator that is about 7 years old sitting on a custom 6.5CM, and a new Recon sitting on a custom 6.5CM.

? Scopes are not milk. There is no expiration date and sitting too long doesn't cause them to spoil.
Although it sucks when something breaks this is not a bad deal if you end up with a Gen3 XR reticle

TT bailed on the warranty of the first mess.
The TT guy from primal rights ruined any credibility or goodwill the company had rebuilt.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if my memory is right, Greg ( primal rights ) has no affiliation with TT unless it's just him selling their scopes. Him being a douche making you not buy a TT is like saying you won't buy a Chevy because you don't like a guy you know who drives one. That being said, everyone is free to hold their own opinions on the whole Premier mess and the warranty shit. At best, it wasn't handled and conveyed as well as it should have been. At worst they did some shady shit.

Armament Corporation ie Tangent Theta is great to work with. They cover everything and are very good at keeping you updated. I’m in the USA(Michigan). There is a little more involved shipping a scope into Canada but they make it easy.
For those talking about scope failure. Yeah a piece of an internal ring was at the bottom of the reticle but it did not affect function at all. I don’t use my weapons as part of my occupation but if I did the 15 head shots I put on the target at 500 yards after it happened all would have counted!?

So, make the accusation like a man. The only warranty I’ve known them to not honor is for Premier which they didn’t produce and only had/have limited parts for.
