After hour of searching and several tests, I gave up, couldnt find one.
All I would need is a software where I could just save shooting pos location, and then open app again next to target and see excact distance.

There are two applications, both named "GPS distance meter" in Android market, but both will lose original firing point location if some other app (like ballistic) is used.
Especially other one is smart, it even shows GPS position error automatically. Typically error is 2-4 meters. Only problem is that reference point (firing position) can not be stored or named.

Any hints?

TIA

I've been wanting the same. I've been using GPS Distance. I mark the target then go back to the firing location. It'll give straight line distance.

Have used it, and I like it. Very simple and accurate. Even shows loc error.
Only problem is that original reference (firing pos) gets lost if any other app is used after pressing "from here" button. Like camera, calculator or shooter.

AMann, will give that a try. Thanks.

Yes, the is application called "DistanceMap" for Android. But it must be different.
Doesent use GPS at all, just draws distance circles on top of google map.
