OK boys and girls... After much deliberation and head scratching I've decided an iPod/iPhone version of Terminal Velocity could work out. Please remember I'm giving up that big, beautiful screen, so some of the graphics will either be smaller or MIA... Basic functions will remain, and of course the same database of cartridges, bullets and scopes will remain.

Please remember this is the pre-rifle purchase app. Use this to save yourself big Buck$ while planning your rifle to kill that big Buck.

For those who have not seen the iPad app, please see here:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/terminal-velocity/id386472223

I see there are a couple apps for iPhone out there already for a "Field Firing Solution", however I think WE can build a better one. The ones I saw are great for most shooters, but is missing some important "fine tuning" options we can put into a new app. This would be a "companion" application for Terminal Velocity.

Interest? Before putting all my spare time for the new several months into this I want to guage interest. Let me know if these interest you enough to purchase when complete.

Thanks,

Jeff

Chiller,

PM sent on an example. Please keep this to yourself for now as I am not wanting to pass along ideas to the other iPod developers at this point...

Thanks,

Jeff

I would always like to have additional tools at my disposal, but without knowing what purpose it will serve, it is hard for me to tell you that I definitely would buy it. ( I also understand you not wanting to give your ideas away.)

Fair enough Mike.

PM me your ideas on what you would like to see. (open invitation to anyone...) Oh... purchase price around $6.99 or there abouts.

I'd like to at least match the software i have for my Windows mobile device, and that cost me about $200.00... (software alone)

Any kind of new program would peak my interest, but as stated above what does it do better ans so on. My limited experince with balistic programs has not really been all that impresive to me, most will get you in the ball park, but I think it's real world shooting and lots of it that really determines a hit or miss. I would also be glad to purchase your product at the stated price, having paid allot more to just be disappointed again and again. Maybe I'm expecting to much, I'm sure someone on here will surely let me know. Anyway, just my palaver never mind...

Helidonna,

I won't go into specifics, but let's say the iPod apps I see today are great for the bulk of hunters. I'd like to make certain variables more "adjustable" to fit the app users rifle system better. This is a combination of having a place to start, and software flexible enough to let you adjust as required to match your tested results.

Nuff said?

Re: Terminal Velocity iPad to iPod/iPhone conversion

I run a iPad....love to see something that WILL take advantage of the big, beautiful,HD screen.

Also...as others have stated above.....I have a nice ballistic app now....would want to know more of what it offers before spending money on more of the same.

Take care,Stan

If want a direction to go. Look at Patagonia's Load Base. It to me is one of the most complete out there. Plenty of people here on the Hide run it. I have used it since the initial offering in a group buy. I have in on my laptop and was on my Windows phone. Problem for me know is I have gone to the IPhone. It would be great to see something with the features that Load Base has be incorporated into the IPhone platform
