BTW, 'real' dynamite left alone for a long time starts to 'sweat' and becomes highly-unstable as the nitroglycerin leeches out of its stablizers.

Plus the old "Western Movie" lighting the fuse thing.... not so much... Unless it's so old that all its volatile compounds have evaporated away, it probably does not have a fuse detonator.

So we're back to... an idiot with a firecracker. No dynamite involved.
