I stumbled across this a couple of nights ago while channel surfing and was immediately hooked.
I set the DVR to grab all of the episodes and we began binge watching them last night. Still have one or two to go.
I only loosely followed the story back in the day when it was unfolding. I guess because I really didn't care - I already hated the Clintons and what Lewinsky brought to to the table was just icing on the cake (pun intended).
This series details the entire sequence of events from her side, and to be honest with you, I have a whole new outlook on her as a person.
She was very young. 21 when it all began, and the blue dress thing was not a one time thing. They had an affair for over two years, and it was facilitated and assisted by others, like the president's secretary, over and over.
He flat out used her and her youthful naivete to get what he wanted. Her lack of experience and maturity played into it heavily.
It's amazing to see her at 44 and compare how she looks now to how he looks now. The level of disgust is amplified.
Kudos to A&E for airing this in the light that they did. In the context of today's culture of the media protection of the Clintons at all costs it was nearly shocking to see unfold on national television.
