This is my girlfriend's gun built by MAC'S GUNWORKS in Gillette, WY. It's a 6.5x47 with a Broughton 22" barrel, Mac's brake, Bushmaster Custom Shop m700, HS alaskan stock, 1LB Jewel trigger, Weaver 4-20x50 FFP Tactical scope. Total weight is 7-7.5#

There is actually a pretty funny story behind the "helmet required" remark, but I'm sure she doesn't want me to post it...

That is a 5 shot group at 100, first shot "cold bore" and the other 4 fell into place nicely...

Sure...
Post a close-up of it, tell us there's a story behind it, that the GF won't let you share...then leave us hangin....

C'mon...we're all adults here...

Beautiful stick. What's it's primary use?

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

+1 for caliber choice! Ive got several bolt guns, but when I go hunting i always grab my 6.5X47 Lapua. It's just a great package. Not to mention it's just fun to shoot.

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

I like the way you post one group of supposedly 5 shots on a torn off target. How about 5 groups of 5 shots all on one sheet of paper ? If that group is real you should be able to do it no problem.

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

Primary use will be hunting Cyotes to Mule deer.

Basiclly, my gunsmith/good friend and I have good time laughing at her and telling her to make sure she puts her helmet on like a special child.
She is prone to running into everything from walls, car mirrors, door jambs, receiver hitches, and everything in between. Everytime we go out Mac's, she has a new story/bruise/cut where she smacked into something....

The scope seems to be really nice but "I" have not played with in daylight yet.

T.J.- I'm glad you like my test target, thanks for your approval... This was shot by my gunsmith when he was sighting it in. If he wanted to shoot it more, I'm sure he could have. get a little trust, peace and satisfaction in your life. I'm guessing you spent way more money on a gun that won't shoot and now you have "issues", am I right?

The load was 120gr Berger, 40gr URP, and CCI 400 primer (I think). It is slow as of right now, 2680fps, but shooting well. I will try to play around with it and try to bump up velocity.

I did not load these, I am not sure why he crimped it.

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

Ha ha. I didn't create the rules round here on group shot posts but yours doesn't meet the criteria by a country mile. I'm sure you have a nice rifle there and i'm happy for you, no really i am but there is an awful lot of BS on the web. Oh, and bringing religion into the discussion is off-limits too !

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

Stop your ass licking, it's nauseating. You're old enough to know better !

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

Great use of stereo-typing and labelling there ....so, as you missed that this was not your buddy's group but the smith's test group, does that still make you a nauseating ass-licker or just an illiterate shit stirrer?

</div></div>No, you assumed wrong, my reference to the " good shooting " was about the bobcat. I was aware that the smith shot that group. </div></div>

So why flame a guy for "jealousy" when he wouldn't have seen the bobcat pic when he posted his comments on the target?

Sorry mate, it doesn't stack up.......

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

Settle down you big girls blouse. He looks plenty big enough to fight his own battles or are you his daddy ! You're right, I am jealous, it is a lovely rifle and I told him so long before you raised your ignorant head. Now sod off and get a life !!!!

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

Nice stick man!!! I think my next build is gonna be the 6.5 lapua. You got some class too not jumping to the flames...Also nice Cat, we dont have alot of them in Indiana.

Re: The LAPUA is DONE!!!!

Thanks guys!

Not 100% on twist rate bu i do know its rather slow at 2680. I may try and speed it up but it shoots too dang good to play with it much.
The brake works perfect. I can spot my own shots.
