Maggie’s THE "NOM NOM NOM" THREAD

Okay, I lied. I did more than salt, pepper and garlic.

Good shit on grill at 1100.

I hope the rest of you men are cooking today.

Grilled in the shuck. No salt, no butter, just corn. Store bought I cut the end of the shuck/silk off and strait to the grill. I usually don't spray my corn so I'll peel the shucks back a little to check for worms and cut the ends of the ears if needed. Fold the shucks back before grilling. Silver queen this year had very few worms. Golden queen or king (don't remember which) was planted right beside but a couple weeks later. It was eat up with worms. Fwiw, silver went in the ground dangerously early.

I believe this was just "field corn" as grandma used to call it. Merit maybe. I just threw it on the grill silk and husk on.

Made some Peruvian ceviche for lunch
Some blackened Corvina fish with cilantro lime white rice and a onion and lime garnish for the wife. For dinner I made some classic beef Wellington with some mash taters and a wine reduction sauce. I threw down in the kitchen today.

Tomatoes look good! Redoing the backyard so no tomatoes for me this year. Finished banana bread, doesn't taste smokey but I think it always adds a nice touch of "something" that people can't pinpoint.
