Cats live longer and belong indoors as pets.
That said, they wander, so if they ain't a problem then grow the fuck up and be and adult and leave the cat alone. They typically have routes they follow and stay close to home and they view the property as theirs just as much as you do --I'd argue they take better care of it and leave a smaller footprint. If it is a problem though, contact the neighbor and come up with a solution. Likely they live really close by.
Some of you aspiring serial killer fucks just can't pass up a thread about pets without weighing in on killing them, regardless the reason, huh? I feel for your neighbors and the family that has to put up with you, must be tedious.
Unless you live on a ranch or farm where people dump animals and you have to deal with wild dog packs and feral cat hordes yearly, you have no business killing otherwise domestic animals IMO. And even that's still sad, but has to be done.
