I know that many people think magazines are too old school to be cool but I like them. I've spent the last 40 plus years with my face stuck in computers at work and at home and I like reading paper. Alas, I digress. One of the magazines I've been buying regularly is Guns & Ammo Precision Rifle Shooter. I picked up the newest issue this week and when I got to page 84 realized that frequent Sniper's Hide contributor Ilya Koshkin had written the article I was reading about objective size. What I like about the article is that it is interpretive and illustrative. Great job, Ilya!

    Thank You.
I have written a bunch of stuff for Guns and Ammo's Special interest Publications last year and there are a few more coming this year as well. They are a really good bunch people to work with. The editing they do is extremely light-handed. We agree on a topic and once I am done, they fix some spelling and punctuation and leave the content alone. I really appreciate that.

I need to get the quality of my photography up, since they chuck most of my pictures, but I can live with that.

I bought the magazine for Ilyas' great article alone, and the sectioned pictures of the scopes still has me looking at them. Still figuring out how each component works, and how in hell did they cut these in half!

    Thanks yet again, Ilya, Fred.

Great job Ilya and thank you for the advise you have giving to so many shooters. It is not easy to spend 2,3 and 4K on a scope but with your advise I have purchased a TT 315M and the scope is something else. Thank You and God Bless

I have the 14 Stoners and Red Dot issues too and saw your articles, meant to post them up here but have been overworked at work and overlazy at home.

One thing you can can look into is some smaller studio lighting pieces and maybe a good studio tripod. I used to do loads of macro and copy stand work in a former job and they both made a huge difference. The studio tripod had an articulating boom arm that made it easy to get the angles and perspectives needed.

I'm a magazine guy and like them, due to the fact, you can always go back and reference info/pictures quicker/better. Bought the "precision rifle shooter", just for that article. Great job!
