I purchased an RCBS Chargemaster 1500 scale and powder dispenser a few years ago. Since I double check every load against a manual scale, I noticed it's pours were becoming increasingly off and unreliable. I contacted them and they told me to send it in with a check for $45 (since it's out of the 1 year warranty) and within 5 days I had a brand new unit on my desk.

Anyone who has this scale should know they do go bad from time to time but if it does, RCBS will replace it at very reasonable cost with no hassles.

I've had similar experiences. One of mine in warranty was taken care of, the other I bought used and out of warranty so it cost me $45 to get a brand new one.

Can't ask for better than that.

Just sent my 5-year old one in last monday with my check for $45 after it quit running last weekend. I was also impressed by their replacement policy for an out-of-warranty machine... Hopefully they will turn mine around as fast as they did yours, I hadn't realized just how dependent I am on it until it stopped working.

Out of curiosity, is the one they sent you brand new, or is it a refurb?
