Suppressors Thunder Beast 338 Ultra Gen 2

Today is 4/9/2022. The last Gen1 338 Ultra that was sent out was manufactured 11/20/2021 or thereabouts. Other than a few exceptions for people who wanted Gen1's for some reason, I don't think any 338 Ultra Gen1's were shipped after 12/2021.
Ok, sorry for the comment, guess I got a gen 2.

So finally for to shoot my gen 2 338ultra the other day. Hit the range out the 338 ultra on my comp gun shooting 6gt.

I’m using area419 hellfire match brake. So I got the adapter for the can.

Took a cold bore shot with the 338 on then put the brake back on and fired my next shot. Basically same hole.
Tried this on 3 other rifles with the same results.

Btw I couldn’t believe how quiet it is.

Today shot a match and ran the brake for 8 stages. Put the can on for the last 2 stages. Made impacts our past 700 without issue.

For me it’s not effecting my poi/dope at all.

Also had many questions from other squads after seeing me add the can and hearing how quiet it is.

It never was officially. We did all the FA/SURGE development with the Dominus-SR which was after the 338USRgen1 was done. There is a decent chance we can do the analysis and give it the rating in retrospect. Give us some time after SHOT and I'll see if we can do that or not.
Any word on the "Hard-Use/Full-Auto" rating for gen 1s?

Is that with the SR mount?

The answer is kind of true, but for a different reason.

When we repair/recore the small Ultras, we use a version of the Gen2 small Ultra baffles with some geometry tweaks to make them fit in the Gen1 tubes.

For the 338, the geometry is different enough that the Gen2 baffles aren't even close to fitting in the tube. What exactly we use for prior-to-Gen2 338 Ultra recores is still TBD. They will either stay Gen1 or we'll get some sort of hybrid that fits.
Reviving an old thread, but has there been any update on whether the gen 1 338 Ultra SR will have an upgrade to Gen 2 baffles or something similar? Thanks
