I am looking at getting a titanium .338 LM suppressor. All things considered, they seem to be about the same in quality, price, suppression, etc. I will be using on .338 LM (future), .300 WM, .308 & 5.56. I like the brake on the Templar more but have seen Thunder Beast developed a new one as well (very similar). My second question is about the suppressive effect on 5.56. Pretty substantial? Hearing safe?

I am sure a lot of people on the forum will advise me to buy 2 cans, but I would like to keep it to 1 for right now. I am planning on having a custom barrel made by one of the big whigs (bart, krieg, etc.) in 5.56 with a 5/8X24 thread pitch for my AR to support the brake.

Give me your advice.

The 338BA uses the larger brake. I have not seen anything from TBAC saying they are redesigning the 338 brake. If you use the 338BA you will have to use the larger brakes on your other rifles. If you are going to use a brake attachment then I would just go with the standard 1/2-28 thread. That way you will be fine with most muzzle devices.

The 338BA works great suppressing the .338 Lapua round. I love mine. I also have a brake adaptor to run it on my AR15 but have not tried it yet.

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. If you remember, let me know how the can sounds on an AR. I believe I had some conflicting information too. The new brake is only for their .30 cal brake.
