Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners
The only brand Suppressor I will use Thunder Beast Arms Corp. – that may seem like a bold statement but.
That’s the confidence in a high end precision product that I have acquired, I have not had a chance to use my 30P-1 yet because the 260 barrel swap should finally be done in a week or so.
But the 338P-1 that I have on my Barrett is performing very well in accuracy, sound suppression and recoil management.
Accuracy – perfect it doesn’t matter if you spin the suppressor off and back on, very common when folks that are drawn to the can and want to see it at a match.
Cold bore hits versus running the gun - no issues as impact change – we know that this is a point that carries back to the gun itself – if your guns have a shift before having a suppressor on more the likely it will still have a “shorter shift with it on”.
Some folks as you see when you read the threads claim to need to fire a round and scotch tape their end of the suppressor prior to going to an event or using the key board cleaner spray to do the same and then tape in order to have a accurate first round shot at an event. Well yesterday I shot a 600 yard cold bore event, no warm ups or sighter’s I did not do anything special no spray or shoot and tape. I showed up had a guy that wanted to see the can, screwed it back on and shot. After 89 shooters were finished there were 3 rounds hitting the 1” black diamond on the orange target face and all within a 1/8” for 1st, 2nd, 3rd we had some good wind to play with, and one of those rounds in the black diamond was mine.
Yes a confidence builder, a great product that performs very well and is repetitive.
I have a close to 100 rounds through this suppressor so far and it’s been 100%
The Barrett 338 Lapua Mag with 338P-1
Repetitive Accuracy suppressor taken off and back on / cold bore and running + 100%
Sound Suppression - only sound of the bullet breaking sound barrier – sound of a 22 mag
Recoil management – less then the Factory Barrett Break - a nice solid push
Note: Anyone looking at getting a 338 cal suppressor for the Barrett 98B should look at the 338BA as noted on the TBAC site
I used a 338P-1 and had the muzzle end of my barrel cut, recrowned and threads checked to accommodate the direct screw on
Just a review
Thanks Thunder Beast Arms Corp
