What is the hides thoughts.
Let me hear from you owners.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

+1 on the TBAC team. I am waiting for a Certificate that I purchased to buy my TBAC. Ray has been top notch answering questions.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

Life would SUCK if I had to live without mine! As stated above, they are a great bunch to deal with.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

Just picked up my TBAC 30P-1 a few weeks ago from Mark at Short Action Customs, but have not had it out yet. Had previously owned a quick-detach suppressor from a well-known manufacturer that I tried to make work in the precision-rifle role. Had trouble with mount locking securely without noticeable wobble, and had premature spring failure in can. Just never had complete confidence in it.

Finally decided to buy a purpose-built thread-on suppressor. I communicated back and forth with the folks from TBAC. I was impressed with the product (30P-1) and its reputation as well as their availability/willingness to answer inquiries from a relative newbie. I am glad I went with TBAC and a dedicated thread-on suppressor for my TRG-22.

There are some other quality alternatives, but I do not think you will find anything that surpasses the TBAC product. Their price-point is also very reasonable. Your hear a lot of good things about their products.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I've got one coming as well. I also own an AAC Cyclone that I have no problems with. Ill do a side by side comparison once I get the 30p-1

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I don't have anything to compare mine to, but i absofreakinlutly love mine!

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I have been running a 30P-1 for almost a year and a half.
For a precision rifle, I can think of no better suppressor.
It is light, extreemly effective, and has zero POI change.
It does double duty on my 300 BLK upper and works extreemly well on that as well.

The only reason I would consider a different suppressor is if I needed a fast attach system or something that would take the abuse of a Full Auto.

Buy with confidence...

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I am not sure asking a manufacturer how they think their suppressor stacks up against others will get you an unbiased answer but in this case the Thunderbeast is an outstanding suppressor. I have several suppressors and I would put this above the pack.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

+1 on all the comments. I did a lot of research on Precision cans and it lead to a 30p-1 purchase. You won't regret getting one from them.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

30-BA for my Larue OBR! Can't wait. The customer service is second to none.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I've been running a 30P-1 for about 6 weeks now and couldn't be happier. Only wish I'd done it sooner.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I was in your situation a year ago, trying to decide which suppressor to purchase. I'm extremely glad I went with TBAC. I have a 30P-1 that I run on a 260, 300 BLK, and 223. Zero complaints. Their products are amazing.

Most important, the TBAC team is very responsive and helpful if you have any questions. Also TBAC sponsors several matches and their support for the industry is awesome.

You won't be disappointed.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I am curious about their 22L-1. I did a search on the hide which didn't yield a lot of info on it. Any TBAC owners that can comment on it?

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

The TBAC 30P-1 is amazing! Mine arrives at my dealer next week.
Thunderbeast is a great company with a great product line.

Here is a comparison I did between it and a Cascade Ti

Here is a thread on when I first got my L-1 in

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

The threaded TBAC 30P-1 is probably the best can available for precision work and competition.

Thanks. I am waiting my lawyer to write up a nfa trust. Then I am gonna drop a packet for the 30ba and a 22 can. Just can't decide if it's going to be the 22L-1 or not.

I've bought or shot many other suppressors. Many other 'top quality/tier' cans.

My model 30 is a class above everything else I've owned - Their cans frankly put most of the others to shame... Not all, but the TBAC cans are light, strong, quiet and backed by the best customer service in the industry.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I have been to the Thunder Beast shop and I have to say, very impressed with the equipment in there, top of the line. Shane took the time out of his day to go over some concerns/questions with my 30P and I really appreciated that. Everybody at TBAC are very nice, knowledgable, and helpful. I have shot mine next to most of the other brands and I think it was just as quiet on a 7mag as the others were on 308's. Only one seemed quieter and it was on a 6CM(which is a quieter round for some reason) with a brand that is no longer made. I definately will be buying another one. One thing to think about would be a brake attached vs dedicated can, if its going onto multiple rifles I would do the BA. I will be getting a 338BA next, I don't have a 338 yet and don't know that I will but Shane says the 308 with a 338BA works very well. If size isn't a concern then go with the bigger 338.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I gotta say that I love my 30BA but...

I have witnessed the SRT Shadow XL Ti vs the 30BA with everything else equal and the SRT can had significantly tighter groups. I won't say this is gospel for every rifle but the test was repeated multiple times and each time the SRT can had a better showing.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

c_bass16,

We'd like to get to the bottom of why that happened. It's not normal. If you have a few minutes, could you shoot us an email with the setup?

thanks
Zak

Customer service....second to none.

Zak that can was on my 260 rem... and the reason it didn't group the same as my SRT was because I handloaded rounds for my 260 specifically while using the SRT can, I was simply comparing sound suppression... I put the TBAC 30BA on our 257 Weatherby worked a load for it, and it shoots the lights out... plain and simple... & we've been killing the piss outta coyotes with it!!! the 30BA is one of the best cans I've shot personally!!! and the suppression that it holds on the 257 is nothing short of amazing!!!

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

Good can, I love mine.

Be sure you mate it with a good thread job. Voice of experience.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

The TBAC team are the best to deal with and make I think some of the best cans in the business, and I've had several shooters coment on them. I have been running a 30P-1 for about 1.5yrs on 3 different rifles(308 bolt,260 bolt and P-308 semi) and a 338P (.338 bolt gun)for about a year which allows me to retain check weld, just picked up my 2nd 30P-1 last month. POI reapeatability is unreal. I also found a reduction in recoil for all my rigs. You will not be disapointed. I won't shoot without mine unless required.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I took my 30P-1 to the range for the first time last weekend and shooting first shot with the can, with clean cold bore and there was NO POI shift! These cans rock I had comments at the range at how quiet it was. I have already started shopping for my next TBAC can! I wish cans were easy to sell, because I would surely sell "the other brand" and buy another TBAC can. I will be getting 22L=1 on order soon.

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that, I've been waiting since September for my 30-P1 to put on my 7mag, and haven't heard many reports of the on 7mags.

Thanks,

I would be interested in that comparison, I run Cyclones they are super but company consumer support is lacking in my experience.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

The only brand Suppressor I will use Thunder Beast Arms Corp. – that may seem like a bold statement but.

That’s the confidence in a high end precision product that I have acquired, I have not had a chance to use my 30P-1 yet because the 260 barrel swap should finally be done in a week or so.

But the 338P-1 that I have on my Barrett is performing very well in accuracy, sound suppression and recoil management.

Accuracy – perfect it doesn’t matter if you spin the suppressor off and back on, very common when folks that are drawn to the can and want to see it at a match.
Cold bore hits versus running the gun - no issues as impact change – we know that this is a point that carries back to the gun itself – if your guns have a shift before having a suppressor on more the likely it will still have a “shorter shift with it on”.

Some folks as you see when you read the threads claim to need to fire a round and scotch tape their end of the suppressor prior to going to an event or using the key board cleaner spray to do the same and then tape in order to have a accurate first round shot at an event. Well yesterday I shot a 600 yard cold bore event, no warm ups or sighter’s I did not do anything special no spray or shoot and tape. I showed up had a guy that wanted to see the can, screwed it back on and shot. After 89 shooters were finished there were 3 rounds hitting the 1” black diamond on the orange target face and all within a 1/8” for 1st, 2nd, 3rd we had some good wind to play with, and one of those rounds in the black diamond was mine.

Yes a confidence builder, a great product that performs very well and is repetitive.
I have a close to 100 rounds through this suppressor so far and it’s been 100%

The Barrett 338 Lapua Mag with 338P-1
Repetitive Accuracy suppressor taken off and back on / cold bore and running + 100%
Sound Suppression - only sound of the bullet breaking sound barrier – sound of a 22 mag
Recoil management – less then the Factory Barrett Break - a nice solid push

Note: Anyone looking at getting a 338 cal suppressor for the Barrett 98B should look at the 338BA as noted on the TBAC site

I used a 338P-1 and had the muzzle end of my barrel cut, recrowned and threads checked to accommodate the direct screw on

Just a review
Thanks Thunder Beast Arms Corp

Jeff

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

Oneshot how come you did not go with the 338BA ? That way you would have a muzzle break if you wanted to shoot unsuppressed?

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

When I started the whole process of ordering and paperwork the 338BA was just being released, I was still keyed in on a directed screw on models having the highest accuracy ability and went with the 338P-1, I use my muzzle break as a thread protector when the suppressor is off, which is very rare.

With the accuracy that the BA versions are holding I would get a 338BA if I had to do it again when dealing with the Barrett 98B

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

Ya I just ordered the BA as I have a MRAD on order. That is why i was curious.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I have a 30p-1, If I had a need for the 338 can I would buy it in a heartbeat. Top notch cans and top notch customer service.

Re: Thunder Beast Suppressor Owners

I have a 30P-1 and could not be happier, on my .260 its way quieter than my POF 223 with a surefire can. I am much happier with the can on my bolt guns than my AR's....
I also went to their training class and will be back for more!
