Hi i was wondering what is involved with changing the barrel in a Tikka M595 Master Sporter....going from the stock .308 winchester to a 6.5 Creedmoor for example. Is it something one can do at home or does it have to go to a gunsmith? are there prefits available? I have a barrel vise. I can certainly purchase go and no go gauges. Not sure if there are action wrenches for this application....would a T3 wrench work? I noticed for example that PVA offers prefit barrels for Tikka T3(not sure if the would work for the master sporter however).

thank you.

I have one of these also.

I have contemplated throwing an after market barrel on this also, but then think about collector value. I would prefer to chop and change my r700 actions.
