Hey all I have a stainless tikka t3 lite im wanting to build into a nice tac gun. Its chambered in .243 at the moment. I really want a 7wsm or something to shoot the heavy 7mm bullets. Obviously my boltface isnt right for a short mag. Can I get a short action mag boltface bolt for it? Any other options im overlooking?

Have a smith open up the bolt face (check if possible), then figure out what stock you will get. Very smooth action on the Tikka.
That was my first thought as well. Was hoping someone made aftermarket bolts but im coming up with nothing.

If you are really serious about a conversion, I have a 7mm mag that I want to convert to 308. We can swap bolt bodies. That is if your rifle is right handed.
All Tikka T3's are long action, so it should be as simple as a bolt swap and appropriate bolt stop (and of course barrel and headspace) Consult with your smith and get back with me. You can look online at Brownells and see the price of bolt bodies is the same as a new rifle.

Build a 243, 260, or 6.5 creed. Much better tac guns and way cheaper to shoot. Unless you're at 1k plus every time there's no reason and if you are then get a 338 lm.
If you're 100% set on 7wsm then sell the 243 and buy a wsm. I've got a Tikka 270 wsm I'll sell you.
