Tikka T3x Lite muzzle threading

I’m currently getting mine threaded to 9/16-24 on a 300 win mag. I had a savage previously with smaller muzzle diameter that also took 9/16-24 just fine
you probably saw it here?
Gunsmithing - Tikka T3 .308 brake question
Figured I'd post here so the Smith's could chime in. I'm looking to tame some of the recoil and muzzle jump of this lite .308. I'm not looking to add any weight to the gun to help. It does have a limb saver but I'd like to some opinions on which route to go. The barrel tip at 22-1/4" is .630"...

Generally too small. Possible to do with a thunderbeast cb face mount break. Have to ask them.

Also 1/2-28 is not recommended for 6.5 and up by lots of reputable companies including Thunderbeast and LRI.
My T3X lite 6.5 CM has 5/8x24 threads- but it is cut back to 18". I have a direct thread suppressor on it, works fine.
My T3x Lite .308 is at gunsmith right now for threading. Needs a good brake to control dramatic muzzle rise. He recommended a T2 brake, 1/2x28. Too narrow for the regular 5/8x24. Brake is bored out to accommodate .30 cal...
If you haven't bought a Lite yet you could look into the newer Tikka rifles: Roughtech or Veil.
They have the Tikka's new "D18" contour where it comes thread 5/8x24, with a fluted barrel and bolt.

Just got that exact rifle Tikka D-18 in 308, First day at the range yesterday. Really like it.
I was shooting an unbreaked 308 last weekend in a prs match and it had a lot more muzzle rise and recoil

My gunsmith just sent me a pic of the muzzle brake he just put on my T3x stainless in 300 win mag. Threaded 9/16-24 with a Hawkins 3-port
ordered it from rifle mags UK
I think the brand is Lucky 13 - from Australia
10 rounds of 308 - expensive but wanted it for range days and matches

I had my 6.5 lite cut to 18” and threaded 1/2x28. Had an adapter made by the same smith up to 5/8x24.
it’s a handy and deadly little bitch that my kids have adopted.
I am working on another for myself in 308 and 16”. Will go 9/16x24 on this one unless we can squeeze 5/8x24 and still get enough shoulder to seat the can.
