Just gotta say thanks to Jeff Dodge at Timney Triggers for the awesome customer service. I had a Timney 510 that would slam-fire if the pull weight was less than 3 lbs, obivously as safety hazard. (I haven't heard this to be a very common problem so I wouldn't let this sway you from buying their product.) I have close friends who also have the model 510 and have never had a problem whatsoever.

I sent an email to them via their website and explained my problem, and promptly received a response from Mr. Dodge telling me to send the trigger back and they would replace it free of charge. I sent it exactly a week ago and just received the replacement today WITH a tootsie pop! Now that's treating your customers right!

I have to echo the OP's remarks. I spent the day today with John (the owner of Timney), Jeff, Kevin and Calvin. A great crew, highly responsive and the result of our collaboration is a trigger design that is specific to Underground Skunkworks Model 911 actions. I won't go into the details, but there is a definite increase in the amount of firing pin energy using the standard factory weight (24lb) firing pin spring and firing pin and lock time is decreased. The design changes in the trigger work in conjuction with the enhanced features of the Skunkworks (GAP, Defiance, etc) actions and the overall result is a better and more reliable shooting system....My hat is off to the Timney crew and I look forward to further collaboration in the future....
