Just picked it ip, thanks Scott. Anyway, I took it apart and noticed baffles came out backwards. As in black stack first, then aluminum. As opposed to what the manual states for config. Also, don't see the Viton ring inside of piston, just on piston end cap. Should I leave as in putting back in or go with the manual instructions on reassembly?

Re: TiRant .45

I just checked two TiRant 45's and the end baffle is black instead of silver as shown in the instructions. The blast baffle should be the heavier black one. Its stainless and all the others are aluminum.

Also one of mine does not even have an o-ring in the end cap but the other does. I also have all the pistons here and the .578x28 short and long pistons do not have an o-ring and the 1/2x28 doesnt either. Dont even look like they have a groove machined into them for an o-ring. The 16x1 lh and 16x1 rh pistons do have the o-ring. There is also an o-ring in the piston housing.

Re: TiRant .45

Were they upside down as well? Either way, that's messed up. I guess its best to check things like this before firing. Maybe qc is slipping a little. The tirant is awesome in my book. I use mine from 9mm to 308 subs.

Re: TiRant .45

if it were me, i think i would call them and have them talk you through the re-assimble, logging that they screwed it up from the factory, and confirming what you are seeing in the instructions. then there will be some sort of record if there is ever a problem.

Sounds to me like the dealer or customer played around with it. These items sure get a lot of time to sit around you know. I doubt it was Mnf that screwed it up.

Valid point. But that's not my accusation really, just going to the horses mouth to make sure everything goes back in the proper position was my main focus

In the end, you going to dig that can. I have one on a HK45. But I do like the FNP GUN you have. All good stuff. Mine shoots very quiet and very accurate.
