Cops like to talk about a few bad apples but it’s the nature of qualified immunity. Cops have no incentive to step in and police each other so they don’t. If they had to risk there families home for watching there partner violate someone’s rights then they would start putting their family first and police each other. Many cops don’t like hearing this but they’ve all seen cops do shit that would get citizens in handcuffs yet they’ve never stepped in and arrested the cop so until there’s change across the board all cops are in fact bastards

Reminds me of one of my favorite stories.

A guy is driving along, perhaps a bit too fast.

A state trooper pulls him over. Asks him what is the hurry. Mind you, this is near the end of shift.

The driver said, "Two weeks ago, my wife ran off with a state trooper."

"Oh really?" asked the officer.

"Yeah," replied the driver. "I thought you were him bringing her back."

The officer laughed and told him to slow down and be careful.
