Jake was actually a big reason I watched the show, added some drama to the mix. I don't know why but I just find this season's remaining cast as somewhat boring to watch, except for Dustin.

I wasn't rooting for Jake either. He just seemed like a bully and cry baby to me. I felt he did good in some challenges, and others not so well and didn't own up to it. I'm glad he is gone, but would have liked to have seen him get beat rather than him just walking off the show.

I didn't like the whole Jake drama either, however I see where hes coming from being a competitor. Trying to eliminate the best etc so its easy at the end. However, I feel like Mike lost however and should not get a second shot. I think phil would of beat him had he not dropped that mag...

I'm surprised they brought back Mike Hughes . I hope he wins. He has to be my favorite out of all of them.

I finally got around to watching the episode last night.
Wow is Jake a puss. I thought it very telling how he rips Mike for being a specialist that can't perform outside of his specialty then during practice states that any new gun is tough to shoot at first.

I got the impression early on that Jake would quit before loosing 1:1 and he did just that. He talked a lot of smack but it did not work on the others in the house. He was mad he got sent to one elimination and did not want to face another with a different shooter. He cut & run over fighting it out. No one misses him IMHO.

Hello, my first post. I just want to point out how Cliff Walsh sat on the loser bench of the S & W 500 Magnum Shoot Competition when he out shot Mike. Had he sat on the winners bench and played on the blue team what would his and the competition outcome would have been? Why did it not get corrected?

I have to admit I am beginning to like the show more and more. Dustin is one hell of a shooter and my money is on him to win it.

I've liked all the episodes better since Jake showed his true stripes and bailed out. Everybody in the last two episodes has deserved to make it as far as they did, and any one of the standing contenders will have a well-deserved win, no matter who gets it. Everyone is well rounded, but I'd put my money on Dustin. He's one of those quieter people who just shut up and put up, and that's the kind you have to watch out for.

I sure am glad jake is gone! That guy was driving me up a wall watching the show! I turned it on last night after watching the history channel all day and saw that he was gone. Everyone seems better now that he is out of the picture.

Also I saw some comments on sons of guns. At first I liked it but then it just got nuts. Half of the guns on there aren't even worth it or practical. I even emailed them about a "1000 yard ak". There is nothing on that rifle that is ak. Its a joke! Plus it was 1500 more than the show said.
I like the new show though"american gun" or what ever with the shop gun smoke. Its interesting. I liked the kid engraving the barrets. But next weeks looks like it may be turning down the path of sons of guns and doing stupid builds.

Dustin is the definition of a "natural shooter". He seems like a great guy and he had a strong finish. Mike struggled with the long gun and it killed him in the final stage. Two great guy in the finish.
Its nice to see real guys finish the competition instead of quitting and heading home.

Congratulations to Dustin, as well as the other three who made it to the finals. My Lady was in tears of joy, watching the finale. It is so refreshing to see that anyone can have fun AND prowess with a firearm.
Especially in this day and age where "guns" and "people" are so often attributed with the connotation of "bad" and "criminal".
An excellent outcome. To which I'll add that I've still respect for ALMOST all SEAL's.
That finale was a prime example of "how to do it..."

Well, we just had a chance to see the 13th episode. This time they had a 're-cap' of the season, which included alot of 'behind the scenes' footage and commentary.
Yeah, Jake claimed he was using "psy-op" against the other components, including his own team. I like him even less now, believe me.
And most of the others, really made the show interesting. Both this one, and the series in general. If you get the chance, check it out.
It was good of them, to do this episode. Now my only request, would be to be let loose in the target/equipment warehouse and armory. Yeah, I'd like that.

Really enjoyed the show this year. I know some of you guys arent fans, but the show seems to paint a positive picture on us gun guys. Some of the challenges would be awesome to compete in. Great job Dustin! I had him picked from the beginning.
