The Most Dangerous City in the USA
Netflix. Watch it. It‘s the Killdozer documentary.

My job forces me to be in front of muni boards and councils all the time. The whole documentary features the people he targeted, and coming away from it I fucking hate them almost as much as Marv. It’s really clear they remain 100% clueless, take no responsibility for their actions, and do not understand that there are consequences for their decisions when they sit on these boards. The kind of people attracted to muni government (government In general) are the people who need to be kept far from it.

They all deny any culpability, but not a single one says the guy was crazy, or a lunatic, or anything of the sort. They all kind of shrug, and play stupid. They know what they did fucking him with spot zoning was illegal, but they hid it long enough that their judge allowed it. While I don’t condone the Killdozer, I feel zero remorse for all those fucks in that town who drove him to It. Muni government is THE WORST.

There has been a push for years to ensure all municipal governments are filled with woke losers.

grassroots socialism... and lots of those little wizards have no jobs or are state workers or in similar positions that they can take the time... while business ownerswho have the common sense to run businesses are... busy running their businesses.

The Mrs Kravitz and Karen types are drawn to these positions like flies to a&/t and act like out their little control fantasies every chance they get.

looking forward to tread. Should be fun!

You know, I never thought I'd do anything of the kind but I'm thinking of running for our city council here in Belton TX. I'm semi-retired and pissed that they just caved to the "woke" movement and voted to change the name of our Confederate park. I don't have a clue how to get started but think I'll start going to Rotary club meetings.

Wasn’t Texas on the side of the Confederacy?

I get removing the one in Baltimore put up by Pelosi’s father during The Civil Rights Movement, but actual memorials is insane.

I watched it. It sure was easy for the city folk to defend themselves with Marv being dead.

My ex wife lived in Granby at that time.
said the day before she was walking to her car after coming out of the bank and saw Marv coming from the gas station with 2 Almond Joys in his hand. They exchanged pleasantries and off they both went.

Said she still wonders if he was eating those Almond Joys while crushing the town.

Let me tell you, I was a junior Rotarian in high school. However, you want to talk about swamp rats...... The biggest screwing I ever got in life was by somebody proudly professing to be a Rotary Club member. I asked this woman if ANY of her actions met the 4-way test to which she would never respond. This item in question ended up going in front of the court, to mediation, to ripping my family off. THAT is the kind of person at Rotary. You can have it, but for me, now the second I Rotary Club member the fast I run! Like most organizations....they are meant to make people feel good about their accomplishments, not about actually doing anything constructive.

It was either Stephen Austin of Sam Houston who told Texans to, under no circumstances, support the Confederacy. They did anyway.

Texas was lucky. They were spared Sherman as, except for the port at Galveston, were largely irrelevant as a state. Not that there were not some gallant Texas personalities and units. But the Civil War on the Frontier was largely confined to Missouri and Kansas. And even that was not the big Eastern and war once the Mississippi and Ohio rivers were in union hands.

I am about to get flamed by Texans... I know it...

Cheers, Sirhr

No, I think you pretty much summed it up. Galveston was a big deal, and that is why General Granger went there- and not to the capital- to proclaim the end of slavery. And, to give us Juneteenth. (I love how threads forum threads interwind, don't you.) Anyway, Texas was the hinterland during the Civil War. Hell, Mexico invited settlers from the US into Texas, only as a buffer from raiding Comanches. Even THEY saw it as a hinterland. And, it was Sam Houston that said that Texas should not support the Confederacy.

And, I just finished the documentary. So, the "Killdozer" only killed one person? The driver? That's weak.

I watched it, was expecting it to be biased against him, and it def was.

The scene with the kids being in the library, bleeding heart comments made me cringe.

Was very cool to see how much power/mass that thing had, just tossed that scraper out of the way like it was nothing.

This is what patriots do against an out of control government. The government could care less what they destroy of yours, so why be concerned for what gets destroyed of the oppressive government?

I watched it and it was interesting. I did not find some of the folks stories credible. The man killed no one but himself, so he was not a murderous nut. He may have been like a box of 10-32 screws with a few 8-32 mixed in but not legally insane. Like his friend said "he spent too many hours alone in the hot tub".

He felt powerless against the system and used the only power he had to issue his perceived justice. The fact he got rid of his money in a way that kept them from taking it after was excellent.

I think in today's world there are many who feel just as powerless. When people begin to feel this way, they feel they have nothing to lose. I suspect we will see more of this kind of fighting back in the near future. Not necessarily kill dozers but people are very creative and will find ways to strike back. Govt is not fair or equal. It bends to those with money and something to offer to them, not to us.

I'll bet there are many who would love to see someone go through DC like that. But in DC there would likely be a quick Brrrrrt in the process.
