TRG-22 Base screws? helpppppp.

Hello, long time reader, first time posting...

I just picked up a US optics picatinny rail for my TRG-22, and they sent me the wrong sized bolts. I've been on a witch hunt trying to narrow it down to what size they are, and i think they are M3.5x7.5 Can anybody confirm this for me?

I found them on Brownell's for around 5.00 a piece, but I'm unsure that this is even the correct size...

Call Near Manufacturing and get the screws from him or get the whole base and sent back the us optics base. I didnt buy the us optics base because they cant sent the right screws.

Did you order directly from USO? If you did, you should have read the description. It clearly states, in ALL CAPS I might add, that "ALL SAKO BASES COME WITH 6-48 SCREWS. YOU MUST CHASE THREADS WITH A 6-48 TAP IN ORDER TO MOUNT THIS BASE."

I run a NEAR, but if you have the USO just chase the threads...

I had the USO on my TRG22 and chased the threads with a tap-no problem at all.

I'm a little bit uncomfortable with half assing around with a $2500.00 rifle. My local dealer ordered the rail for me, so I didn't see the disclaimer. When I told them that they sent the wrong bolts they agreed to give me a refund.

haha, I called Near and he wouldn't even sell me the bolts alone so, I decided to just go with his product, I'm waiting for a reply from him as I type this.

Not knocking USO but Near is the way to go. You will be very happy, you should pick up his break for the TRG also. If you already have one send it back to whoever made it. As you already know Richard is good to go and his products are outstanding...pricy but I feel they are completey worth every penny! Enjoy your TRG, you now own the best system out there IMHO ... that will piss off the AI guys out there but I feel its true, also not knocking the AI's.
