I put the RR National Match in it when I bought it to lighten the lead weight it came with. I just dropped a chip mccormick trigger in one of my 556 AR's for a match last weekend and loved it, light and crisp. Has anyone found a solid single stage trigger for the LR308 or can I use the 556 chip mccormick in my 308? My RR Arms trigger was for a 556 and it has worked flawlessly. Thanks for the help.

If your LR-308 is a precision rifle, you should install a two-stage precision trigger as it will serve you better than a single stage. That being said, give the Giessele SSA-E a look.

I had a JP in my STI AR15 and loved it. Bought the same JP trigger with a heavier spring for my LR-6.5 and couldnt be happier. I know alot of people swing the Geissele two stage, but Im not a fan. I think you'll be happy with the JP, just make sure its the JPFC-1 with the red spring, which is meant for the AR10/LR-308

+1. I started out with a JP single stage trigger and in no way did it compare to my bolt action triggers (JEWELLS and TIMNEY) I then purchased a Geissele DMR 2-stage trigger based on recommendations and it has been OUTSTANDING !! I truly believe that this is as good as it gets in an AR trigger.

I have JP's and Geissele's and for me, it's Geissele all the way. I like a two stage trigger.

The JP could be a decent trigger, but mine has way too much creep. Tons of it. It stops in two places before it goes bang.

I messed with it a little and couldn't get it right.

Set it up per the instructions and still is creepy.

Came with a DPMS SASS. Don't want to hijack the thread, but any advice would be helpful.
