I have a few years old M40A3 and the trigger has been acting up lately...the trigger pull has become erratic sometimes pulling at 2lbs and then spike up to 4.5lbs and getting really annnoying.. I flushed it out with acetone but doesnt seem to make a difference.. is it time to get a new trigger?

Anyone try Rifle Basix triggers?

Re: trigger issues

Rather than acetone that removes everything try washing it down with lighter fluid. That will leave a very trace amout of lubrication that may restore the consistancy you are missing.

Rifle Basix triggers are okay. They are getting better. He is putting better screws in them that will hold the adjustments better without the need to loctite. I am a dealer for them but they are not my first pick. The price is their best part. For that reason I use them quite a bit. Jewel is better made but some of them have an annoying creep when set below 2 pounds that just can't be adjusted out.
