For a MRP upper with 22lr and 18" 5.56 and 6.5g barrels. I like it I will miss it but it is lacking in a few areas. The main things I don't like are the floating mil dot reticle which is hard to pick up sometimes and it's sfp which is a pain shooting with a clip-on because it's hard to dial at night, 2.5 isn't enough, 10 may be to much and I'm just guessing at hitting 5x and having accurately doubled substensions.

    I'm looking for
    15-18+ top end mag
    Compact and light
    Ffp
Christmas tree reticle(vortex is on point, Horus is just excessive)
Not much if any step down in glass quality
    $2k or under

    This is what I have
PST gen ii 3-15 heavy and probably a step back in glass, perfect reticle

Mk6 3-18 perfect if they had more than tmr and h59 that interested me

Mk5 3.5-18 oddball 35mm tube, heavier than mk6, cch reticle looks better than h59

Vudu 5-25 super compact other than tall turrets, heaviest option, h59 reticle

    Anything I'm missing?

MK5 may be your best bet, but you may want to look into illum as well with the clipon, Leupold fucked up in my opinion by having limited illumination options. The CCH reticle is not illuminated in the 3.6-18.

If it comes down to getting the TMR, I’d take the MK5 over the MK6, the coatings are more advanced.

I've always bought scopes with illumination but other than my 1-6/8 I never use it. With a clip-on you really don't need it.

The image quality in PST Gen 2 will surprise you. It is quite good.

If you do not need illumination, Mark 5 should be at the top of your list.

If you want the best optics in this category, Tangent Theta TT315M weighs 28 ounces. It is a fair bit more money though.

Bushhnell LRTS 4.5-18x44 is in the right weight range as well and is a nice scope.
