Rifle Scopes Using a Bushnell Engage 6-24x50

Should I keep the Bushnell Engage or switch to something else?

I built an AR10 in 6.5 Creedmoor and love it a ton. Looking at doing some PRS shooting so I don't know if this is still the scope for me. I don't have zero stops (or the ability to use them I think) and it's SFP. Would I benefit from a FFP scope that uses zero stops? If so, what should I list my scope at? It's only been lightly used at the range for the past year. If I should switch, I was thinking the Athlon Argos BTR. Is there another scope with a similar reticle I should consider?

I wouldn’t go to an official two day prs match that costs hundreds to enter with it but I would certainly take it to a monthly club match. Who knows, maybe you hate prs and like benchrest instead. Use what you have for now until you figure out what you really want.

It probably won’t be the best tracking scope with the best glass out there but it should also track well enough and let you see the target to at least play the game.

I have one on a 22-250. With the sale and rebate it was about $330. It is a good scope but I don't think it is built for hard use. Best for target and light hunting. So, I would get something a little more robust. But run it at least and give it a chance. If it happens to hold it would be good to know.

Seconding spife - if you're going to try out a few club matches, go for it. If you're going to be shooting major 2-day matches, the Engage CAN still work, but you're going to need an upgrade pretty quickly - and I wouldn't consider the Argos an upgrade. At a minimum, I'd say be prepared to save up around $1k for a decent scope for 2-day PRS/NRL events.

If you're trying to be competitive (Top quarter to third) in said 2-day matches, it's probably time for a whole new rifle AND optic. While you can run a gas gun and be competitive, you're going to be starting at a disadvantage. A quality bolt action would be a much better choice for being competitive.
