I think I would like to get a fixed power scope for my FN SPR in .308 and was wondering if the S&B is really worth the extra coin. If you've had both I'd really like to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance.

To me USO ST-10 best deal, period!!, I dont think USO is giving up anything to the S&B in the ST10, I have had both, not that exact S&B, but a PM S&B, and I would take the USO, just me though

Re: USO ST-10 vs. S&B PM 10x42

There is a good thread rolling around here someplace regarding the S&B PM 10x42, good reading and very positive.

But on the flip side, the USO offers you the option to build, mil, moa, adj objective, lit reticle, reticle style, elevation & windage knobs, color, you name it.

I am not knocking the S&B in any way, they are very nice. I would like to try out the S&B on a future build as I already have a pimped out ST-10 and really like it. Just like to try different things at times.

Really like the ST-10, great glass and EREK knob...don't think that you will be upset with your buy. Plus, with the extra savings you can buy more componets.

I realize that the ST-10 starts at $945.00 but with the add ons it looks like most people end up spending about $1100. So it seems like the ST-10 might be the way to go. Thanks guys.

I've had both the S&B 10x42 PM II and the USO ST-10. My recommendation is for the USO ST-10 with EREK and ERGO. The S&B is focused at 300m, which is a little long if you shoot a lot at 100 yards. I also prefer the USO Type 1 MOA and GAP mil-type reticles to the S&B's P3.
