I am considering trading in my M3 Ultra for a US Optics ST10. This scope resides on an AR10T, and although the Leupold is great, my rifle likes 175 SMKs going 2550, and doesn't match the turret on the M3. I have a USO SN3 5-25 on my .300 win mag, and love the EREK and Mil/Mil combo, which is what I would look for on the ST10. Am I bieng a winey bitch and just stick with the M3? It's very cool in it's own right. I wrote Kenton to see if they could just make me a new turret, maybe that would be a good compromise.

If you can find a swap it'd be a no-brainer for me, USO in a heartbeat.
I'd go 37mm Ergo for your application, you can get lower that way and the 37mm doesn't give up anything to the bigger guys (still a 3.7mm exit pupil).
I really liked my ST10, but am not a fan of fixed tens personally...

Have leupold make you a knob for your ultra.Make sure they know if its ccw or cw turret.Kenton can't help you on the fixed m3s.

Can you afford to keep the M3ultra and still get an ST10? Also how much are they giving you for a trade in on it?

Actually the M3 ultra was designed from the input of SOTIC and at one time considered the best sniper day optic in the world and was never offered to the civilian market.supposedly it even used german Shott glass. Leupold tactical is still banking off the reputation they made off this scope..Mine is from 88 with tens of thousands of rounds through it and never a hickup..I have a custom leupold knob with minutes instead of the BDC..This scope was made for a single purpose so if you want a bombproof 10X fighting scope with 1 MOA knobs, zero stop, single turn out to 1K meters with straight mildots,this may be for you..

Zohan, yes I know exactly what I have and its capabilities. But yes, having a USO to compare it to, the USO is more user friendly. A new turret would address most of my complaints, and yes, the glass is spectacular on the M3.
These are the reasons it made the decision difficult for me.
