The young woman in the video, Amber Lyon, stood up to CNN and lost her job. Apparently, CNN makes propaganda videos for pay for countries like Bahrain and Israel, then broadcasts them as 'News'. Kudos to Amber for her stand. Watch it all the way through and form your own opinion.

This remark originally appeared in the introduction to a POGO book, where Walt Kelly paraphrases Oliver Hazard Perry's famous dispatch after having won the battle of Lake Erie: "We have met the enemy and he is ours." Kelly writes "We have met the enemy, and not only is he ours, he may be us." Kelly loved to recycle his jokes, so the idea reappeared many times, including as the title to one of the later POGO books.

It was Walt Kelly through his comic strip "Pogo" that said, "We have met the enemy, and he is us."

I heard her say that CNN is paid for favorable coverage by Bahrain, Kazahkstan and Georgia. Where was Israel mentioned?

Not saying it doesn't occur and admittedly, I found the archival CNN footage showing Ms. Lyons work, in very nicely fitting jeans, somewhat distracting, but in the most pleasant of ways!

While I find her somewhat annoying her hotness compensates for it! Isn't that always the way though?

If you watch right at the opening where the dark haired woman is speaking. She doesnt come right out and and name Israel but certainly points in that direction (be=gin at about 00:15 seconds) when she mentions Net-and-Yahoo's speech being aired in full while Ahmadinejad's was cut short. Do you really think, that given the option, the Israeli's wouldnt pay for positive press? Puhlease!

On yuor other point, yes, she is hot, and I would. Repeatedly.

For anyone on this thread not familiar with RT here you go.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RT_(TV_network)

Those fuckers are just as nasty at spreading propaganda as we are, CNN, FOX, same shit, duhh. Anyone with half a brain does not listen to the media in general. But shame on any American that works for RT. RT is one of the worst providers of anti American sentiment and propaganda themselves.

They make CNN seem fair and balanced by comparison.

As to the opening few seconds of the OP's video link, the snide comment about Netanyahu was not lost on me. And seriously, if you think Ahmedinijad is merely misunderstood I have some $400.00 P-mags I want to sell you...

I did not see Israel named in this as a paying customer and will not conclude that they are. I am certain they could use more effective PR than that provided by CNN Intl.

I do not miss the opportunity to change the channel when RT is on. I prefer my horse shit to be of much higher quality. RT = "Right There" in the basement with Current TV!

One has to be smoking pretty large quantities of low grade weed to find that tripe informative.

Though the Brunette presenter is a smoldering beauty! Too bad she's so full of crap...

Re: Very interesting video on the media

What I find funny about the repetition of the "Lead up to the invasions of A-stan and Iraq" crap is who it was who was saying "WMD" all the time!

Remember that bought and paid for bag man, who was ostensibly a UN Arms inspector, Scott Ritter? He first resigned because of the WMD he felt the UN and the Clinton Admin was covering up and then later denounced the existence of them. Turns out he changed his opinion based on the huge sum he was paid by a Saddam associate.

Clinton later used the WMD as a pretext for the PR diversion he needed when the Blue dress surfaced.

In the meantime, WMD was central to the bona fides of numerous people in the last two years of the Clinton Admin and the luminaries such as Gore, Kerry, Hillary, and others on the political left, including CNN, NBC, CBS, AP, and all the others who buttressed that regime (But glossed over the AQ attack on the U.S.S. Cole during the middle of Al Gore's Presidential run...) demanded that something be done about the WMD in Iraq. "The dagger at our throat."

After 9/11, the demands for action became even louder; from both sides of the aisle.

Now it's like we are expected to be 6 year olds and credulously listen to any low grade horse shit, much like that demonizing "ASSAULT RIFLES".

    No thanks.

Seriously, these jerkoffs take advantage of our free speech as much as 20 year old fan boy killers do of our second amendment. Shame on the cable providers as well who take the payment for the air time.

Do you think a TV show called America Today would fly in Russia? Hell no.

ok, got that out of my system

Right up there with CNN International (MUCH worse than the Domestic version).
